  Esteemed Comrade Vladimir Putin,
I express deep thanks to you for the warm and sincere congratulations you sent to me before others upon my reassumption of heavy responsibility as President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

I am sure that the firm relations and trust between us will undoubtedly guarantee the solidity and future-oriented character of the DPRK-Russia relations and powerfully promote the development and well-being of the peoples of the two countries.
Pyongyang will always be with Moscow.
This is our choice and invariable will.
Expressing thanks once again, I send warm greetings of best wishes to you and, through you, to the fraternal Russian people.
