Socialist State Shining with Independence

September 9 this year marks the 77th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
The DPRK has covered the road of victory, overcoming all sorts of challenges and trials of history since its foundation. It is vigorously advancing toward a socialist power at present, too, on the basis of its powerful political and military strength.
The valiant spirit and infinitely bright prospect of Juche Korea are unthinkable apart from the nation-building exploits of the great leader Kim Il Sung who laid an eternal foundation for prosperity all his life.
In the first days of his revolutionary activities, he deeply understood that it is impossible to take back the country from the Japanese imperialists by depending on outside forces, advanced the idea of independence that the Korean revolution should be carried out by the efforts of the Korean people themselves and applied it to the revolutionary practice to liberate the country.
After accomplishing the cause of national liberation, he founded the DPRK, an independent sovereign state ardently desired by the Korean people, on September 9, 1948.
Lecturer Paek Jin Hyang at the Korean Revolution Museum said Kim Il Sung formulated the independent lines and policies thoroughly reflecting the aspiration and demand of the Korean people and the specific conditions of the country and carried them out in the whole period of leading the revolution and construction, and continued.
"At that time, some flunkeyists steeped in illusion about foreign countries were insisting that the newly-liberated Korea should follow other countries in state building.
The great leader Kim Il Sung said we should definitely carry on the work of nation-building in a Korean fashion, adding that neither American nor Soviet clothes fit Koreans and therefore we should not put on foreign clothes but make clothes which fit us in the Korean style.
His instructions imply the profound meaning that we should take the road of independence, the road of Juche, that meets the demand of our people and actual conditions of our country in carrying out the revolution and construction."
The founding of the DPRK enabled the Korean people to enjoy a genuine life as the masters of the country, factories and land.
The Korean War in the 1950s against the US-led imperialist aggressor forces ended in victory for the Korean people thanks to the wise guidance of Kim Il Sung who led them to fight by the Korean-style tactics suited to the situation and topographical conditions of our country.
Though the three-year war ended, the war without gun report against imperialism has lasted for over 70 years.

Thanks to Kim Il Sung who wisely led the building of a thriving country under the banner of independence, the Korean people accomplished the historic cause of socialist industrialization in 14 years' time despite the difficult circumstances in which everything was destroyed in the war, and a great heyday of socialist construction was unfolded in our country in the 1970s and the 1980s.
Indeed, Kim Il Sung is the father of socialist Korea who built a genuine people's country unprecedented in the 5,000-year-long history of the nation and turned the DPRK into a socialist state shining with independence.
