Training the People's Army as an Army Strong in Ideology and Faith
The great leader Kim Jong Il is the peerlessly brilliant commander who trained the Korean People's Army as the army strong in faith boundlessly loyal to the idea and cause of the Workers' Party of Korea.
In the whole period of leading the revolution, he regarded it as a very important issue concerning the destiny of socialism to make the People's Army the one infinitely loyal to the cause of the Party.
Leading the army building, he prepared all the service personnel as ardent followers and resolute defenders of the Juche idea of the Party, Lecturer Kim Un Hye at the Korean Revolution Museum said and continued:
"The might of a revolutionary army is, in essence, the might of ideology. It is a lesson of history that the army which is not prepared ideologically is no more than rabble, even if it has a lot of soldiers and modern equipment.
One day in December 1994, the great leader Kim Jong Il told officials that the military striking power has a limit but there is no limit in the might of ideology, which is stronger than A-bomb, and that he attaches importance to the theory of prioritizing ideology in army building and military activities."
Kim Jong Il made painstaking efforts to make all the service personnel firmly arm themselves with the revolutionary idea of the Party and keep loyalty to the Party and leader as their life and soul.
He inspected a tank unit on August 25, 1960 and inspired the entire service personnel of the People's Army to hold high the slogan "Let us defend with our very lives the Party Central Committee headed by the respected Comrade Kim Il Sung!". In the 1970s, he presented it as the general task for army building to model the whole army on Kimilsungism.
As a result, the service personnel of the People's Army could keep loyalty to the Party and leader as their firm faith and the spirit of resolutely defending the leader and the steel-like command system and revolutionary military climate of moving as one on the order of the Supreme Commander were established throughout the army.

In order to develop the People's Army into the revolutionary armed forces boundlessly loyal to the idea and cause of the Party, Kim Jong Il inspected units of the People's Army by crossing high and rugged passes and taking sea routes with raging waves and instilled into the soldiers the truth that the might of arms lies in their ideology and faith.
Thanks to his energetic leadership, the KPA could grow to be an army strong in ideology and faith.
It is an undying exploit of Kim Jong Il that he trained the People's Army as the one strong in ideology and faith firmly armed with the idea of the leader and supporting the cause of the Party in the van.
