He also said it is a consistent stand of the DPRK government to attach greatest importance to the DPRK-Russia relations and invariably develop the tradition of friendship with deep root. And he expressed the belief that the recent visit would be a significant occasion of developing the cooperative relations between the two countries onto a new height.
The supreme leaders discussed the issue on intensifying the many-sided exchange and cooperation in different fields including high-level visits between the two countries to further consolidate friendship, solidarity and cooperative relations and increase the mutual confidence.
At the talks, there were exchanged wide-ranging and profound opinions on important issues of mutual concern and an issue was agreed on promoting the welfare of the two peoples and constantly expanding the comprehensive and constructive bilateral relations with joint efforts.

The supreme leaders of the DPRK and Russia shared deep opinions on the remarkable successes and constructive experience of cooperation gained in all fields of politics, the economy, the military affairs and culture for attaining the strategic goals of building a powerful state and on the orientation of future development for national prosperity and well-being of the two peoples.
They also had a heart-to-heart talk about the crucial issues and immediate items of cooperation arising in having closer strategic and tactical collaboration between the two countries and rendering a powerful support and solidarity to each other on the joint front for frustrating the military threats, provocations, high-handedness and arbitrariness of the imperialists to deprive humanity of their independence, progress and peaceful life so as to defend the sovereignty, development and interests of the state, peace and security of the region and the world, and international justice with concerted efforts, and reached a satisfactory agreement and consensus of views.
