The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un delivered an opening address at the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
He said the past five years since the Eighth Congress of the WPK was held were the proud annals in which the entire Party and all the people have opened up a turning phase in the accomplishment of the socialist cause of Korean style, firmly rallied as one. He noted that five years ago, we convened the Eighth Party Congress with the faith, will and resolution to tide over the worst situation facing the revolution by our own efforts and open a new era of progress and development without fail. Today we are attending the Ninth Party Congress, full of optimism about and confidence in the future, he said and added that this is really a great change, development and success worthy of pride at the present stage.
Solemnly swearing, on behalf of the entire participants in this congress, that the current congress will thoroughly remain loyal to the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism,Kim Jong Un declared the congress open.
