Inseparable Kindred Feelings
Mun Hyon Suk living in Songyo-dong No. 1, Songyo District of Pyongyang, could walk in 14 years thanks to the utmost devotion of Choe Un Ju at the Songyo Polyclinic in Songyo District.

Choe Un Ju became a household doctor in 2010 and while visiting the families in the area under her charge, she happened to see Mun Hyon Suk who could not move properly.
She called on experienced doctors at national hospitals and in the course, she was convinced that dead nerves can be revived by giving a stimulus to Mun's body with acupuncture and manual technique therapy. So she called on Mun almost every day.
As she gave manual technique therapy to Mun for a few hours, her body was wet with sweat. She also applied acupuncture to right regions on Mun's body, combined treatment by Koryo medicines according to an advice of her mother who was once a doctor and gave Mun special foods for her good nutritive conditions.
Choe Un Ju was excited to find that the patient felt pain in the paralyzed part of her body three years after the start of the treatment. In less than a few days, however, the patient got worse again.
In fact, Choe Un Ju thought it might take one or two years to cure the patient. But there was no improvement in the treatment after five years and she heard that she was doing the impossible work, which troubled her.
One day, Mun's eldest son graduated from a middle school and joined the army.
Choe Un Ju was greatly moved to see the wonderful woman sending her son to the post of national defence even though she was seriously ill.
So she treated Mun harder with greater devotion and finally, cured her of her disease.
Mun Hyon Suk said:
"Doctor Choe Un Ju visited my house to treat me, look after my children and manage my household affairs.
A protracted illness wears out filial devotion. My family members got nervous sometimes. However, she never frowned but called on me every day for treatment.
She is younger than my brother. Seeing her treat me and take care of my family, however, I felt as if she was my mother or sister. Now we are on special terms with her like members of a family. My words fail to express thanks to her."
Her husband Cha Sok Hui said:
"As my wife was ill for a long period, I almost gave up. But our household doctor treated my wife and looked after my two children. She does not hesitate to help my family with its work. I am thankful for it."
Choe Un Ju considers that she did what she should do as a household doctor.
She says she always calls on the residents in charge, regarding them as her kinsmen.
This is the inseparable kindred feelings.
