Brisk Taekwon-Do Club
Taekwon-Do is a kind of unique martial arts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and it is a good sports event showing the spirit of the Korean nation.
Pyongyang Primary School No. 4 in the capital city is running the Taekwon-Do club well.
It is proved well by the fact that officials of the school set an example in inventing sporting goods needed for teaching of Taekwon-Do and presented them to the National Exhibition of Physical Education and Science Successes in the Field of Education--2025 held some time ago.
The school solved problems arising in running the club, enabling all the pupils to have an urge to learn Taekwon-Do.
Sports teacher Phung Kum Ju with rich experience in her career of Taekwondoist is devoting all her wisdom and passion to teaching all the pupils Taekwon-Do, an orthodox martial art of the Korean nation, systematically.

She said she applies diverse training methods suited to the pupils' ages and psychological features so that they can train hard with confidence, and continued:
"We're directing primary efforts to basic education for correct strike in correct postures. New movements should be taught theoretically along with demonstrations.
We also put efforts into arousing competitiveness in training all the time so that they can complete the movements they've learned in the spirit of emulation."
The Taekwon-Do technique of those involved in the club is improving a lot in a short span of time thanks to the unusual concern of the officials, the sports teacher's scientific guidance to training and high enthusiasm of the pupils. As a result, the school took the first place in the National Contest of Taekwon-Do Amateurs--2024 held last year.

Now the school is widely disseminating Taekwon-Do to bring up all the pupils as good pillars of the future with good physiques.
