Promise He Kept
At the end of July last year, flood victims occurred in North Phyongan, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea owing to days of downpour.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un took special measures for the victims including children, students and the aged from the flood-stricken areas to live under the care and benefits of the state in the capital city of Pyongyang during the rehabilitation campaign.
Wonderful classrooms for the schoolchildren from the flooded areas were prepared at the April 25 Hostel which had been built for national conferences and events and mobile education teams organized.
Ri Jin Ju, teacher at the Sohung Primary School in Moranbong District Affiliated to the Pyongyang Teachers Training College, was also involved in a mobile education team at that time.
She was honoured to give a demonstration lesson in the presence of Kim Jong Un who called at the hostel on August 16, 2024 to learn about the preparations for the education of pupils from the flood-hit areas.

Recollecting that time, Teacher Ri Jin Ju said she was deeply moved to see the benevolent Kim Jong Un correct the writing posture of a pupil and whisper to others without ceremony, and continued:
"In the lesson that day I played a video clip of the Munsu Water Park, explained to the pupils that it is the Munsu Water Park and both adults and children like it, and promise them to go there together.
I never thought that the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un would remember the promise.
That afternoon we were unexpectedly sent to the Munsu Water Park to enjoy ourselves.
Later I was told that Kim Jong Un took kind measures to send my class to the water park within the day without forgetting the promise I made to the pupils.
I could not repress my surging emotion to know the fact that Kim Jong Un kept the promise made by an ordinary primary school teacher to the pupils."
As said above, Kim Jong Un kept the promise made by a primary school teacher to the pupils as he wanted to clear away the shadow on the faces of the children from the flood-hit areas as soon as possible.
