The ski resort has all perfect conditions needed for sports, tourism and relaxation including hotels which go well with the nature and suit the mountain district, buildings for ski service and accommodations and a helipad.
  One day in November 2013, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the Masikryong Ski Resort.
  Looking round different places of the construction site, he got to know that the standard safety distance of the ski resort was not ensured due to the sightseeing tower.
  Generally, a certain distance should be ensured under the ski runs so that the skiers can stop skiing safely. At that time, however, standard safety distance was not ensured because of a sightseeing tower in front of the elementary and intermediate ski run at the Masikryong Ski Resort.
  Estimating the distance between the sightseeing tower and the ski run, Kim Jong Un said the sightseeing tower should be removed in order to ensure about 40 metres of safety distance at the end of the elementary and intermediate ski run.
  That sightseeing tower was a meaningful place where he gave precious instructions on the construction whenever he gave field guidance to the construction site.
  Officials were very surprised to hear him. Kim Jong Un said to them that any hindrance should not be given to the skiing people and school youth and children lest they should be injured even a little, and stressed the need to remove the sightseeing tower once again.
  Later, the sightseeing tower was removed and the safety area got wider.
