With such patriotism, technicians of the Paeksung Insulated Wire Production Station under the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports established the technology of insulating aluminum wire by oxide film and made oxide film insulated aluminum wire for the first time in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
  Looking back upon the road of pursuit they have covered since the development of the new technical product, Director Jon Chol Ho said:
  "We thought that only when every citizen chooses and takes this road, can we economize electricity and resources of the country.
  So we buckled down to the research no one had ever made.
  We had nobody to ask but had to do everything by ourselves, staking our destiny.
  We worked hard and have completed an in-line production process.
  Now we have no problem in the production and introduction of the wire."
  The oxide film insulated aluminum wire has a great economic effectiveness.
  If we use it in electric equipment including electromotor and transformer, it is possible to reduce the cost price by 65 percent as against using enamel-coated copper wire, prevent the destruction of insulating skin by overheat and prolong the active life of equipment and increase their operation rate considerably.
  If nichrome wire used in heating elements of machinery and equipment is replaced by the oxide film insulated aluminum wire, the heating time can be shortened by far and the power consumption reduced by 50 percent.
  The technicians of the Paeksung Insulated Wire Production Station under the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports are now devoting themselves to introducing throughout the country the new technical product whose economic effectiveness has been proved in reality with a single mind to make an active contribution to economizing the precious electricity of the country.
