A new body-measuring manual for the production of school uniforms was distributed to all parts of the country in February 2023.
  The new manual was made thanks to the warm care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who wants to provide all the students across the country with nice-looking school uniforms which fit them well.
 

  At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Un said it is a consistent policy of the Party to give top priority to providing the children across the country with school uniforms even in any difficult conditions and took important measures to implement it.
  Busy as he was with the state affairs, he examined samples of new school uniforms one by one and saw to it that huge funds were spent for the production of school uniforms.
  In September 2022, he learned in detail about the new school uniforms provided to the students and stressed the need time and again to make good school uniforms for students with maternal affection. And he gave an instruction on letting all the teachers know how to measure the bodies of the students.
  In February 2023, he gave a task of making a new manual about measurement of bodies of students.
  As a result, a new detailed body-measuring manual was completed and sent to the provincial, city and county school uniform production units across the country.
  According to it, body measurement of the students began in the country all at once and the production of school uniforms was promoted as soon as their body measurement was finished and their sizes were added up.
  The body measurement and size collection for the students are conducted in the DPRK every year.
  Body measurements are taken properly according to different physical constitutions and characteristics of students and correct sizes set according to them to ensure good quality of school uniforms.
  Over the past three years since the new body-measuring manual was issued, nine national school uniform exhibitions were held and excellent techniques and experiences exchanged and transferred between provinces and between factories. As a result, many successes have been made in improving the quality of school uniforms.
  The new body-measuring manual for the production of school uniforms is the first one of its kind in the history of the garment industry of Korea which came into being thanks to the special concern and warm love of Kim Jong Un who wants to provide all the students across the country with good-looking school uniforms that fit them well.
