Sturgeon Pond in the Central Zoo
There is the Central Zoo at the foot of the picturesque Mt. Taesong in the capital city of Pyongyang.
It has a sturgeon pond designed in a unique way for the people to look down from the bridge with the floor made of large panes of tempered glass.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Central Zoo under reconstruction on March 11, 2014.
That day, he gave instructions on building the Central Zoo in a distinctive way and proposed breeding sturgeons in the pond before the aquarium, saying:
It is said that the pond is to be repaired together with the aquarium. It would be peculiar if a bridge is built over the pond and various forms of fountains are installed and sturgeons bred in it.

Today the visitors to the zoo frequent the pond which was built under his meticulous guidance.
