/ Politics - Devoted Service for the People's Well-being
What Is More Precious than Pearl and Jewellery
One day in May 2015, the participants in the Second National Conference of Exemplary Young People of Virtue held in the capital city of Pyongyang had a photo session with the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
Before the photo session Kim Jong Un met the young people who distinguished themselves in displaying the loyalty to the Party and the leader, the spirit of devoted service for the country and the people, the noble obligation to the revolutionary forerunners and comrades and beautiful moral traits.

Among them were a coal miner performing labour feats in a deep underground cutting face, a girl driver who drove a long distance every day to transport timber, a man who got married to a special-class disabled woman soldier, a 20-year-old "girl mother" looking after seven orphans, a Pyongyang-born girl who volunteered to teach at the school in an islet village after graduating from university, a girl nurse who donated her blood and skin to patients without hesitation and a girl teacher who showed warm sincerity for the studies and treatment of a handicapped pupil for years.
Informed of their laudable deeds one by one, Kim Jong Un said the ideological and spiritual qualities and traits of the young people who are becoming forerunners in defending and glorifying socialism of Korean style are more precious than the pearl and jewellery.
He added that the laudable deeds of the young people sacrificing their lives for the Party and the motherland and warmly loving human beings can be found only in our country where all the people form a large harmonious family, and that infinitely bright is the future of our country advancing confidently, demonstrating its might as a youth power.
The love and trust of Kim Jong Un are the motive force enabling the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to demonstrate its dignity and might all over the world as a youth power with a large contingent of exemplary people of virtue.
