Pictures on Walls of the Children's Hospital

There is the Okryu Children's Hospital in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Those visitors to the hospital, seeing pictures on the walls, say they feel as if they came to an art museum, not the hospital.
It is because the walls in the hospital are filled with fine art works from Korean cartoons and world famous story picture books.

Those fine art works are associated with the warm love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the coming generations.
One day in October 2013, Kim Jong Un called at the construction site of the children's hospital nearing completion. In the entrance hall, he saw the acryl picture "We Are the Happiest in the World" and said this is the real picture and that there are many people of talent.
Looking round the operating theatre on the third floor, he taught how to correct it one by one. And looking at a picture on a wall in the corridor of the third floor, he said the Mansudae Art Studio and all other fine arts studios should be involved to draw pictures.
And he saw every picture suited to the children's feelings.
As a result, the walls in the hospital were wonderfully decorated with more than 1,700 pictures in a short span of time.
