They Make Another Leap Forward to Realize Their Ideal
Huge construction projects were launched under the leadership of the WPK in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in 2025, the last year of implementing the five-year plan put forth by the Eighth Party Congress.
Not for the Economic Profits but for the People's Well-being
The basic orientation maintained by the WPK in the construction work is to direct preferential efforts to building those conducive to the promotion of the people's well-being. According to it, a lot of dwelling houses have been built across the country in 2025, too.
The capital city of Pyongyang witnessed the inaugural ceremony of 10,000 flats at the 3rd stage and the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 10,000 flats at the 4th stage in the Hwasong area.
The section of 10,000 flats at the 3rd stage in the Hwasong area is over 90 hectares and it is a new large architectural group with skyscrapers and high-rise apartment houses, educational and public health establishments and different kinds of modern public service amenities in harmony.
It is new in architectural form as against those at the first and second stages and consists of peculiar service amenities in particular, demonstrating its conspicuousness and development.

The construction of 10,000 flats at the 4th stage in the Hwasong area, which began in February, is nearing completion. When the project is completed, the construction of 50,000 flats in the city of Pyongyang set forth by the Eighth Party Congress will be finished.
2025 is the fourth year of the rural housing construction that started according to the grand plan of the WPK to make all the rural villages across the country rich and civilized socialist utopias.
More than 80,700 houses were built during the past three years and tens of thousands of rural houses in 2025, too. After all, removal into new houses took place in succession all the year round.

Inauguration Declared in the Year of Groundbreaking

important success made in 2025 is that the DPRK brought about proud results in realizing the ideal and
well-being of the people by beginning the construction of those according to more expanded and advanced regional development policy and completing it throughout the year.The Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee discussed and decided the issue on formally including the construction of advanced public health facilities, scientific, educational and leisure facilities and grain management facilities in parallel with that of regional-industry factories in the new regional development policy of the Party.
According to it, Pyongyang built a hospital, a leisure complex and regional-industry factories in Kangdong County.
The modern hospital, regional-industry factories and leisure complex were built in less than a year, giving pleasure to the people in Kangdong County.
On the other development, an offshore farm and wonderful fishing village retaining the characteristics of coastal area were built in Ragwon County of South Hamgyong Province on the east coast in over 190 days.
The changes of Ragwonpho clearly show the advanced development and happiness of the people brought by the regional development policy in the new era.
The Height of Civilization Enjoyed by the People
One of the greatest successes achieved in 2025 is the completion of the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.

The inauguration of the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area with new scene of socialist civilization and efflorescence clearly demonstrated to the world the high level of creation and civilization we desire.
A world-class medical service centre has been built on this land where the beautiful dreams and ideals of the people are realized.
The Pyongyang General Hospital consists of the most important core facility--general operating theatre with 30 modern operating rooms, specialized facilities including the emergency department and specialized treatment departments, and supply and service facilities such as conference hall, underground parking lot and helipad.
The opening of the hospital which can provide excellent treatment environment and advanced medical services has made it possible to defend the health and lives of the people more safely.
Through the huge construction work in 2025, the DPRK and its people came to make another big stride towards civilization and development.
