The inaugural ceremony of the 4th-stage 10,000 flats in the Hwasong area was held with splendour in the capital city of Pyongyang in February 2026 in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

With this, the goal of building 50,000 flats in the city of Pyongyang decided by the Eighth Congress of the WPK was overfulfilled with success.
Almost 60,000 dwelling houses and public buildings have been built in the Songsin and Songhwa area and the Hwasong area of the capital city, forming new streets.

During the 8th term of the Party Central Committee, Comrade Kim Jong Un examined and completed thousands of miniatures and made painstaking efforts to thoroughly apply the idea of people-first architecture to every structure.
When Songhwa Street was under construction, he guided more than 1,000 miniatures and completed over 1,630 miniatures concerning the 1st-stage construction of the Hwasong area.
He also examined nearly 1,000 miniatures to complete them one by one in order to build the 2nd-stage district of the Hwasong area into a peculiar street with the feature of modern city block, and a model and standard street of the times.
In addition, he guided more than 660 miniatures so as to build the 3rd-stage district of the Hwasong area into the block with peculiarity different from the former stages and provide the people with higher material and cultural well-being.
Thousands of designs guided by Comrade Kim Jong Un intensively represent his warm love and devoted efforts to provide the people with the most civilized and happiest life.
