Seventh Conference of Training Officers of KPA held
  The Seventh Conference of Training Officers of the Korean People's Army was held in the capital city of Pyongyang on the 14th and the 15th.
  The conference analyzed and reviewed the successes and experiences gained in the training sector of the People's Army for the past seven years after the sixth one and discussed the tasks and practical ways to consolidate the training front as a solid cornerstone of firmly guaranteeing the mightiness and invincibility of the revolutionary armed forces and a reliable fortress of training elite army and further raise the actual war capacity of all the units and sub-units.
  Present there were training officers of the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commanding officers of military and political organs, officers of military educational institutions at all levels and officials concerned.
  The rostrum was taken by No Kwang Chol, Minister of National Defence of the DPRK, Ri Yong Gil, Chief of the General Staff of the KPA, Jong Kyong Thaek, Director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, major commanding officers of the military and political organs and exemplary training officers.
  A report was followed by speeches at the conference.
  Then, there was a ceremony of awarding the Party and state commendations to the officers who distinguished themselves in intensifying the training.
  Jong Kyong Thaek read out a decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
