Joint friendly meeting held to commemorate 75th anniversary of June 1 International Children's Day







A joint friendly meeting was held at the Taesongsan Funfair in Pyongyang on June 1 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the June 1 International Children's Day.
Present at the meeting were Kim Su Gil, Chief Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Sun, Department Director of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials concerned, exemplary teachers and women in the educational work and the education of children, and kindergarten children in the city.
Also on hand were foreign diplomatic representatives and members of missions in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, foreign guests and overseas compatriots staying in the socialist homeland.
Before the meeting, there was a demonstration performance of radio-controlled model aircraft by players of the Pyongyang Municipal Aviation Club.
The Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea made a speech.
She warmly congratulated the children across the country and foreign children on the June 1 International Children's Day.
She said the Korean children under the care of the respected fatherly MarshalKim Jong Un are the happiest in the world and stressed that the joint friendly meeting will be an occasion of showing the vivacious looks and beautiful dream of the pretty children.
Children showed beautiful dance and gymnastic movements to the tune of children's songs.
There were a stage of prides and an art performance of children, which was followed by sports and amusement games.
Foreign children also took part in various amusement games, sharing friendly feelings with the Korean children.
The meeting ended with beautiful dance of children.
