"International Day of Elder Persons" marked in DPRK
  A meeting was held at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on September 30 to commemorate the "International Day of Elder Persons".
  Present there were officials of the Central Committee of the Korea Federation for the Care of the Aged and relevant sectors, and the aged and working people in the city of Pyongyang.
  Speeches were made at the meeting.
  Speakers warmly congratulated the aged on the International Day of Elder Persons and said the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the kindhearted father of the large socialist family, are taking warm care of the aged across the country with paternal affection.
  Palatial old people's homes have been built in scenic places of the country and even the helpless old people are enjoying a worthwhile life amid social concern and respect, which is the true aspect of the country enforcing the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on the protection of the aged, they added.
  Addressing the meeting, aged people said they are fully enjoying a new life and new civilization even in the twilight years of their lives under the care of the WPK which respects them as revolutionary seniors, and stressed that they would devote the remainder of their lives to leading the posterity to the road of loyalty and patriotism.
