Lao President arrives in Pyongyang

Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, arrived in Pyongyang by his plane on the 7th to pay a congratulatory visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea at the invitation of Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the WPK and President of the State Affairs of the DPRK.
The national flags of the DPRK and the Lao People's Democratic Republic were fluttering on the flagpoles of the Pyongyang International Airport and guards of honour of the Korean People's Army were lining up at the apron in front of the terminal.
Thongloun Sisoulith was greeted by Kim Song Nam, Alternate Member of the Political Bureau and Director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Im Chon Il, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK.
He was presented with a bouquet by a woman worker.
Pretty children welcomed the goodwill envoy of the Lao people, waving flags of the two countries.
