Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex is taking sci-tech measures to better the operation of the energy-saving oxygen-blast furnace, increase the output per charge and improve the quality of molten iron.
In October alone the complex produced thousands of tons of rolled steel and sent it to coal mines.
Smelters of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex normalized the operation of the oxygen-blast furnace on a high level, thus producing pig iron needed for increasing the proportion of the coal mining done by machines.
