DPRK players win gold medals at 2026 Asian Weightlifting Championships
In the women's 69-kilogram event on the 15th, Song Kuk Hyang lifted 112 kilograms in snatch, 151 kilograms (new world record and new Asian record) in clean and jerk and 263 kilograms in total and thus came first in those three categories, winning three gold medals.
On the other hand, in the men's 88-kilogram event, Ro Kwang Ryol lifted 167 kilograms in snatch, 220 kilograms (new world record and new Asian record) in clean and jerk and 387 kilograms in total, finishing first in clean and jerk and total and second in snatch.
