80th founding anniversary of GFTUK commemorated
  A meeting was held at the Central Hall of Workers on November 29 to commemorate the 80th founding anniversary of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea.
  Present there were Kim Jong Sun, Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and its organizations at all levels in the city of Pyongyang and provinces, officials concerned and trade unionists in the city.
  Choe Jong Chol, Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made a report.
  He said the great leader Kim Il Sung declared the founding of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the only political organization embracing broad workers, all over the world on November 30, 1945, and wisely led the workers to perform their responsibility and duty as the vanguard unit of the revolution.
  He noted that the great leader Kim Jong Il provided a definite guideline for strengthening and developing the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea into a reliable assistant and defender of the Party and more firmly built it up as the ranks of true revolutionaries armed with the revolutionary idea of the leader.
  He mentioned that today, the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea is writing the golden age of its development in history while invariably adhering to its revolutionary character under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
