Conference of Headquarters of WPK CC held
A conference of the Headquarters of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was held on January 28 amid the daily increasing fighting spirit of the Party members and all the people across the country to greet the historic Ninth Congress of the WPK with high political enthusiasm and brilliant labour achievements.
Jo Yong Won, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, guided the conference.
Present at the conference were delegates elected at the general meetings and conferences of organizations at all levels of the Central Committee of the WPK.
A presidium was elected.
The conference elected a new leadership organ of the Headquarters Committee of the Central Committee of the WPK.
Members and alternate members of the Headquarters Committee of the Party Central Committee were elected.
The First Plenary Meeting of the Headquarters Committee of the Party Central Committee elected the chief secretary and secretaries of the Headquarters Party Committee and organized the Secretariat.
Jo Yong Won made public the result of the First Plenary Meeting of the Headquarters Committee of the Party Central Committee.
The conference elected delegates to the Ninth Congress of the WPK.
The nominated candidates were elected representatives of the Headquarters Party Organization to attend the Party Congress amid the full support and approval of the participants.
The conference nominated observers to be sent to the Party Congress.
