Ceremonies held to start projects for regional development policy in new year
Ceremonies to start the projects for the implementation of the regional development policy in 2026 took place respectively in the area of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm in North Phyongan Province, Kangnam County in Pyongyang and Maengsan County in South Phyongan Province.
Present there were Ri Hi Yong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Han Kwang Sang, Department Director of the Party Central Committee, Kim Su Gil, Chief Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Party Committee, chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees, officials of the provinces, city and counties concerned, working people and service personnel of the People's Army.
Speeches were made at the ceremonies.
The speakers said modern factories and advanced public health facilities and multifunctional leisure complexes whose modelling phase has successfully ended will be built in 20 regions at the same time in 2026, a significant year when a new stage will be opened for the comprehensive development of socialism.
They noted that a firm guarantee was provided to successfully promote the construction projects thanks to the meticulous guidance of the respected ComradeKim Jong Un who brightly indicated the orientation and ways to stubbornly implement the expanded and intensified regional development policy without letup and took revolutionary measures.
The implementation of the regional development policy in the new era is constantly accelerated thanks to the devoted efforts of the great Party Central Committee to make regional change represent the progress and development of our state and to make the true image of our style of socialism mirrored on the ideal appearance of the regions, they said and warmly called for achieving only proud victories on the grandiose march this year in ardent patriotic spirit.
