The message said:
I express thanks to you for your warm congratulations on my reelection as President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the First Session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
I believe that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Vietnam would continue to develop for the common cause of socialism and in the interests of the two peoples on the basis of the spirit of the agreement reached at our meeting in Pyongyang in October last year.
