Military parade for celebrating 81st anniversary of victory in Great Patriotic War held in Russia
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation and Supreme Commander of its Armed Forces, made a speech.
Then the military parade started.
Along with the columns of Russian soldiers, a column of soldiers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea who had performed undying feats in the battles to liberate Kursk marched past the Red Square.
When the military parade was over, Comrade Vladimir Putin laid a wreath before the tomb of unknown soldiers by the Kremlin Castle Wall and paid a silent tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Union.
He met with the war veterans and combatants of the special military operations and the commanding officer of the mixed column of the three services of the Korean People's Army that participated in the military parade.
That day witnessed military parades in major cities of Russia including St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Ulan-Ude, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok.
