DPRK weightlifters back home
Players of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea returned home on the 22nd after participating in the 2026 Asian Weightlifting Championships held in India.
At the championships, the DPRK players won a total of 30 medals including 18 gold medals, 11 silver medals and one bronze medal and set 8 new world records and 10 new Asian records.
Ri Suk, who took part in the women's 63-kilogram event, won the prize of best player of the championships.
The laudable weightlifters, who fluttered the dignified national flag of the DPRK high on the world arena, were warmly greeted by officials in the field of sports, officials concerned, their family members and sportspeople at the Pyongyang Railway Station.
