80th anniversary of KCU significantly celebrated in DPRK










The Children's Union members across the country significantly celebrated the 80th founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union.
They laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the bronze statues of the great leaders GeneralissimosKim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in their localities and paid tribute to them.
The provincial, city and county youth league committees and Children's Union organizations of schools held general meetings of the Children's Union, meetings of exemplary children of virtue and presentations of prides of Children's Union members.
Art performances of schoolchildren and other cultural events were held in different parts of the country, adding to the pleasure on the holiday.
Officials of the Party and government organs in the provinces, cities and counties called on Children's Union members to congratulate them on June 6.
Sports and amusement games were held at the schools throughout the country including the Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans, the Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans, the Munsin Primary School in Tongdaewon District and the Haeun Primary School in the City of Haeju affiliated to the Haeju Jo Ok Hui Teachers Training College.
