Millions of fry released into sea
The North Hamgyong Provincial Fishery Management Bureau has stocked the sea with millions of fry this year.
The bureau has selected fishes of good species and is pushing ahead with the work to put the fry production process on a modern and scientific basis.
Officials and employees of the Jikha Atlantic Salmon Pedigree Farm paid primary attention to ensuring the water quality and temperature suitable for the growth of fry and made an active use of the oxygen supplement and water disinfection method by ultraviolet rays to breed tens of thousands of Pacific fry.
The Ryonjin and Chongjin fishery stations also bred the fry in a scientific and technological way on the basis of correct calculation of their nutrition and size and thus released fry of flatfish more than planned into the sea.
