DPRK Premier makes field survey of Chonsong Youth Coal Mine
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, acquainted himself on the spot with the production of the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine under the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex.
He encouraged the colliers who have turned out in the struggle for increased production to carry out the new five-year plan at the face of the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine and saw a trial run of efficient mining equipment produced by scientists, technicians and workers.
He said the officials should draw up a more advanced, concrete and feasible plan to perfectly implement the noble plan of the Party Central Committee to build the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine into a standard one whose pit labour has been put on a mechanized and IT basis as the start of the long-term work for transforming the material and technical foundations of all coal mines in the country and the working conditions of colliers.
Meanwhile, he visited the 5th-stage construction site of the Hwasong area to learn about the construction in detail.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed issues on producing coal-mining equipment qualitatively in the field of machine-building industry and on preferentially supplying the materials needed for the 5th-stage construction of the Hwasong area before taking relevant measures.
