National Sports Contest of University and College Teachers and Students--2026 held
  The National Sports Contest of University and College Teachers and Students--2026 took place at Kim Chaek University of Technology between July 29 and August 9.
  The contest brought together more than 1,000 teachers and students selected from over 40 universities and colleges in the capital city and provinces. They competed in the events of volleyball (students) and table tennis (teachers and students).
  Kim Il Sung University and the Phyongsong College of Medical Sciences finished first respectively in the men's volleyball divided into central and provincial levels, Kim Chaek University of Technology and the Chongjin College of Medical Sciences in the teachers' table tennis, and Kim Il Sung University and the Phyongsong College of Technology in the students' table tennis.
  The Wonsan Jong Jun Thaek University of Economics took the first place in the women's volleyball.
  Trophy cups, medals and citations were awarded to the teams and players who proved successful in the contest.
