Russian ambassador gives reception


Alexandr Matsegora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on the 16th on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the Russian Federation.
Invited to the reception were Choe Son Hui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, No Kwang Chol, Minister of Defense, Director Kim Song Nam and Deputy Director An Hyon Min of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Gyu, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, and officials concerned.
Present there were staff members of the Russian embassy.
Alexandr Matsegora made a speech at the reception.
He said President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and President of the State AffairsKim Jong Un put the Russia-DPRK relations on the basis of complete mutual understanding and reliability of mutual support to the most urgent issues between the two countries.
They should never rest on their laurels, he said and called for going forward bravely for a greater success in many-sided bilateral exchanges and cooperation in all fields including politics, the economy and culture in concert with each other.
Then, Choe Son Hui made a speech.
She said the relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Russia have entered a new period of full efflorescence today thanks toKim Jong Un , President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, and Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation,.
She also said it is a steadfast will of the DPRK government to give active support to Russia and have firm solidarity with it in the journey for powerfully leading the DPRK-Russia good-neighbour relations and creating the constant welfare and beautiful future of the peoples of the two countries. She stressed that she will do her best to promote the overall development of the bilateral relations and further strengthen the strategic and tactical cooperation in the future.
