Going round farms in Taedong, Mundok, Sukchon, Jungsan and Phyongwon counties and the city of Jongju, he said the officials of the agricultural guidance organs and farms should make plans for and give guidance to present farming processes such as harvesting with responsibility and thus finish this year's farming well.
He stressed the need to finish thrashing qualitatively in time by increasing the proportion of the farm work done by machines and make more tangible successes in the agricultural production the following year by widely introducing farming methods whose superiority has been proved in reality. He also pointed out ways to encourage stockbreeding at farms.
At Anju Paper Mill No. 121, he underscored the need to promote in a prospective and planned way the work to steadily improve the qualitative indices of the products and produce a lot of paper for different uses by dint of science and technology.
Acquainting himself with the assembly of new equipment and the operation of production processes at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, he emphasized that the officials should more powerfully command the project on the basis of scientific plan and design and direct efforts to the technical management and the management of equipment and thus make innovations in the fertilizer production.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed practical issues for the relevant units to fully supply raw and other materials and fuel needed for the paper production and normalize the fertilizer production and the functional greenhouse vinyl sheet production before taking necessary measures.
