"Flower Festival--2026" opens
The "Flower Festival--2026" opened at the Okryu Exhibition Hall in Pyongyang on the occasion of the auspicious holiday in April.
The festival on the theme of "More Beautifully and Fragrantly" was attended by flower research and production units in the capital city and provinces, universities with courses concerning afforestation, some institutions, enterprises and organizations, flower lovers and honorary members of the Korean Floriculture Association.
The venue of the festival presented a beautiful landscape with all kinds of flowers, diverse plant sculptures and ornamental plants displayed by more than 200 units across the country and flower lovers.
Present at the opening ceremony held on the 13th were Ji Myong Jun, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, participants in the festival and working people in the city.
Kim Son Il, Minister of Urban Management, made an opening address.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round the venue of the festival.
