Secretary and Director of International Department of WPK CC meets with special envoy of General Secretary of CPV CC and Vietnamese President
Kim Song Nam, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Secretary and Director of the International Department of the Party Central Committee, met with Le Hoai Trung, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on a visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as a special envoy of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on the 13th.
Kim Song Nam said the WPK will further strengthen exchange and cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam in keeping with the friendly relations between the DPRK and Vietnam which were put on a new height with the historic Pyongyang meeting of ComradeKim Jong Un and Comrade To Lam in October last year as a momentum.
Le Hoai Trung informed Kim Song Nam of the successful 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and expressed its firm stand to further develop the Vietnam-DPRK friendly relations consolidated on the road for advancing the socialist cause.
Kim Song Nam and Le Hoai Trung discussed the issue on strengthening the political ties between the WPK and the Communist Party of Vietnam and other issues of common concern and reached a consensus of views.
Present on the occasion from the DPRK side were Deputy Director Mun Song Hyok and other officials of the International Department of the Central Committee of the WPK and from the Vietnamese side, the party of the special envoy and Le Ba Binh, Vietnamese ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the DPRK.
