DPRK FM has talks with Vietnamese FM

Choe Son Hui, Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, had talks with Le Hoai Trung, Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, who is special envoy of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on the 13th.
She expressed the stand of the government of the DPRK to strengthen and develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Vietnam in conformity with the aspiration and desire of the two peoples on the basis of the spirit of the agreement reached at the historic Pyongyang summit meeting of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries in October 2025.
Le Hoai Trung said that To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Vietnamese party, state and people always pay deep attention to consistently attaching importance to and strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations with the DPRK and wished the Korean people greater success in the struggle for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea under the leadership of the respected ComradeKim Jong Un .
At the talks, both sides agreed upon further intensifying exchange and cooperation between the two countries in different fields and strengthening strategic communication, support and collaboration between the foreign policy-making institutions, and exchanged views on regional and international issues.
Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Vice-Minister Pak Sang Gil and other officials of the Foreign Ministry and from the Vietnamese side, the party of the special envoy and Le Ba Binh, Vietnamese ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the DPRK.
The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK hosted a reception in honour of the special envoy that evening.
