Development of harbour transportation progresses
The ministry takes measures to strengthen the material and technical foundations of shipbuilding and repair units and intensifies the operation and command to promote the remodeling of several ports including the Chongjin Port.
The repairs of several cargo ships including the "Toksong" are accelerated amid the concern of the ministry.
The ministry is also stepping up the work to repair dams and structures of the West Sea Barrage and other barrages and dredge the deposits piled up at ports and along the waterway of the Taedong River.
