Active efforts made to develop new products
  Active efforts are made at light industry factories to develop new products.
  The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill is developing fabrics for clothes and quilts with vivid colours and good draping property and water absorbability. The Sinuiju Textile Mill has developed new suit fabric, mackintosh and antibiotic shoe canvas.
  The Mangyongdae Revolutionary Site Souvenir Factory is increasing the variety of melamine resin goods.
  Foodstuff factories in different cities and counties including Jaeryong and Sinyang counties are directing efforts to developing goods with locally available raw-material resources.
