Delegation of DPRK National Intelligence Agency attends 1st Int'l Security Forum held in Russia
Present at the meeting were members in the fields of security and diplomacy of Russia including the Security Council, the External Intelligence Bureau and the Foreign Ministry, and delegations of over 150 countries and international organizations.
There was a video congratulatory speech sent by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, to the participants in the international meeting, and then a video program was projected on recent major challenges and threats in the international and regional security field.
Head of the delegation Ri Chang Dae, General Director of the National Intelligence Agency, made a speech.
He congratulated the 1st International Security Forum on its successful opening and appreciated that the current forum is of important political significance in defending peace and security of the world and realizing the international justice.
He said that in order to terminate the global security crisis and instability all the countries should foster their ability of ensuring security, keep close solidarity and cooperation in the journey of building a multipolar world and unite on the principle of respect, equality and mutual benefits to oppose specialization and double standard in the international politics.
The DPRK is stockpiling the most powerful strength and constantly strengthening itself with the aim of defending its security and keeping the era of genuine peace free from war forever, he said and sent full support and encouragement to the Russian army and people that are making an all-out dash for accomplishing the sacred cause for safeguarding the sovereign rights and security interests of the country.
That day, the delegation head met and talked with Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
Discussed at the talks were issues on making close cooperation between the security and intelligence organs of the two countries to thoroughly look after the core interests of both countries and effectively cope with the challenge to the global and regional security.
