National sci-tech presentation in field of disaster management held
  A national sci-tech presentation in the field of disaster management took place at the Grand People's Study House on the 16th and the 17th under the sponsorship of the Korean Association of Disaster Management of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
  Attending the presentation on the theme of "Application of Advanced Technology and Modern Means of Rescue in the Prevention of Disaster" were officials, teachers, researchers and postgraduate students from more than 20 units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the Ministry of Disaster Prevention, the State Academy of Sciences and the State Hydro-Meteorological Administration.
  Submitted to the presentation were more than 70 valuable sci-tech proposals conducive to strengthening the ability of the state to cope with crises such as establishing the unified crisis management system more regularly and putting the natural disaster crisis management on a scientific and IT footing.
