80th anniversary of University of National Economy marked

A meeting was held on June 30 to commemorate the 80th founding anniversary of the University of National Economy.
Present there were Kim Sung Du, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Tok Hun, First Vice-Premier of the Cabinet, officials of the ministries and national agencies, and officials, teaching staff and students of the university.
Kim Jong Su, Rector of the University of National Economy, made a commemorative report.
He said the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung advanced an original idea on establishing a national cadres-training base in the initial period of building a new country, founded the University of National Economy on July 1, 1946 and led it to establish unique educational system and method of Korean style step by step.
The proud course of the university is warmly associated with the noble leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il who visited the university time and again to brightly indicate the orientation of development and ways for training officials of national economy, he added.
The reporter stressed that the university has greeted a new historical turning point of its development thanks to the great trust and love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
