"National August 3 Consumer Goods Exhibition--2026" closes
  The "National August 3 Consumer Goods Exhibition--2026" came to a close.
  Different kinds of consumer goods presented by producers of over 400 units across the country including Pyongyang Municipality, Jagang Province, the city of Nampho and South Phyongan Province won popularity for substantially contributing to improving the material and cultural life of the people.
  The closing ceremony was held at the Pyongyang Underground Shop on the 11th.
  Present there were officials concerned and officials and working people of the exhibiting units.
  On August 3, 1984 the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il came out to the venue of the Pyongyang Municipal Consumer Goods Exhibition, saw one by one different kinds of consumer goods made by state-run light industry factories and districts and counties in Pyongyang by tapping internal reserves and potential and highly praised them before presenting important tasks to make an active contribution to the improvement of the people's living by producing consumer goods through a mass movement.
  The historic field guidance of the day started the August 3 consumer goods production movement, the mass consumer goods production activities of Korean style.
