Swimming contest of national level universities in Pyongyang held





A swimming contest of national level universities in the city of Pyongyang was held at the natatorium of Kim Il Sung University on the 8th to mark the 78th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Among the spectators were leading officials of the Party and the government including Sin Yong Il, Ju Chang Il and Kim Sung Du, secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials of the Cabinet, commissions, ministries and national agencies and armed forces organs and teaching staffs and students of universities in the city.
The swimming contest which brought together players selected from national-level universities in the city was held, divided into men's and women's 100-metre freestyle, 100-metre breaststroke and mixed medley relay.
Kim Il Sung University came first in total, the Pyongyang University of Education No.1 second and the Korea University of Physical Education third.
Prizes were awarded to those teams.
