National Foundation Day marked
An event was held before the Mausoleum of King Tangun on October 3 on the occasion of the National Foundation Day.
Present there were Kim Hyong Sik, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet, officials of the Bureau for Protecting Historic Heritage, officials concerned, working people in the city of Pyongyang and overseas compatriots staying in the homeland.
First, a memorial service for Tangun was held.
Then a commemorative report was made.
The reporter highly praised the immortal exploits of the great leadersKim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who saw that Tangun, ancestral father of Korea, was found out and the Mausoleum of King Tangun rebuilt wonderfully and thus glorified the 5,000-year-long history of the nation.
