Talks between DPRK Minister of Disaster Prevention and Russian Minister of Extraordinary Situation held
Talks were held at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on the 12th between Kim Chol Nam, Minister of Disaster Prevention of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Alexandr Kurenkov, Minister of Extraordinary Situation of the Russian Federation.
Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Vice-Minister of Disaster Prevention Ri Su Gil and officials concerned and from the opposite side members of the delegation of the Russian Ministry of Extraordinary Situation and Andrei Podyolishev, Russian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the DPRK.
The talks exchanged the successes and experiences made and gained by the two countries in disaster prevention and discussed the issues for expanding and developing bilateral exchange and cooperation.
Then the 2027--2029 plan for cooperation between the Ministry of Disaster Prevention of the DPRK and the Ministry of Civil Defence, Extraordinary Situation and Elimination of Aftermaths of Natural Calamities of the Russian Federation was signed.
That evening, the Ministry of Disaster Prevention of the DPRK gave a reception in honour of the delegation of the Russian Ministry of Extraordinary Situation.
