DPRK weightlifter wins gold medals
The championships brought together more than 520 excellent men and women weightlifters from over 90 countries and regions including the DPRK, China, Russia and Colombia.
In the women's 49-kilogram category on the 27th, Ri Song Gum lifted 92 kilograms in snatch, 119 kilograms in clean and jerk and 211 kilograms in total and came first in snatch, clean and jerk and total respectively, winning three gold medals.
Meanwhile, in the men's 60-kilogram category, Pak In Song won a gold medal in clean and jerk and bronze medals in snatch and total and Pang Un Chol silver medals in snatch, clean and jerk and total.
